Given the weather it is not surprising that, the club members chose some undercover activities: movies and morning teas, a book lovers meeting and a lunchtime gathering.

On another occasion some club members ventured onto Ross Jennings patio backed, by the Tomaree National Park, for our regular ritual of wine tasting.

Julia Redlich told News Of The Area, “On another day, it was time to rug-up to cope with the chilly winds at a barbecue.”

No one can really resist a good Australian barbeque, even in winter.

“Of course we were warmed by steaks and sausages and good company!” she said.

The Probus Club of Fingal Bay meets on the second Monday of each month at 9.30am at the Fingal Bay Sports and Recreation Club, 100 Rocky Point Road, Fingal Bay.

Probus offers fellowship for those who are retired and semi retired, giving connections to the community.

Fingal Bay Probus Club offers a selection of activities where members can enjoy having fun and building friendships with fellow members.

These include outings, barbecues, a book lovers’ club and walking for pleasure.

It invites a variety of guest speakers and new members, guests and visitors are always welcome.
