The artworks on exhibition until 10 September depict nature providing a life giving environment.

There is also a second exhibition by the centres revitalised Print Making Group which has a display of the culmination of 12 month’s printmaking.

The group has explored many techniques of lino cutting, etching and multi plate printmaking and plan to explore collagraph and mono prints in the future.

This will involve experimenting with different inks and qualities of paper, sometimes with the printing press and with recycled objects.

The group meets on the second and fourth Thursdays in the Manoora Room at 10am.

Meryl Miller of the Port Stephens Community Arts Centre told News Of The Area, “An exciting date to note in your calendar is 7th September when The Spring Affair will return by popular demand.

This is an exciting day to visit the Arts Centre and view our talented community displaying their creativity, there will be a sausage sizzle, cake & goodie stall, market stalls, plant stall, grow your own bonsais, mosaics, and pottery, spinning and weaving, paper craft, card making, quilling, embroidery, knitting, patchwork, fabric art and fusion demonstrations,” she said.

The event will also feature woodwork activities, painting sales and an art auction.

The Gallery contains unique handmade items such as jewellery, pottery, and knitted goods.
