Tuesday 23rd July: RSL LifeCare Grange Trophy Day, this annual event commenced on the 14th November, 2002.

TGWBC are very thankful for RSL LifeCare continuing the sponsoring of this Trophy Day. Format for play was 2 bowls Triples, 10 teams competing, 2 games, 12 ends, randomly drawn. All winners won both their games, decider was shots. First place to Sheril Johnson, Jean Glover and Lynne Green with 30. Second Jeanette Emmett, Kathie Rimmer and Lorraine Murphy on 27 and third Dawn Jones, Maureen Campbell and Liz Kelly 25. Julie Woolard, Tea Gardens Grange General Manager presented the prize money to the winners, following lunch catered for by Myall Bistro & Café. Lesley Kibble recently celebrated a special “0” birthday which was appropriately acknowledged.

Wednesday 24th July: Congratulations to Dawn Jones, Jeanette Emmett, Dot Dallas and Kayelene Pearson this team bowled in ” Gloucester Bucketts Gala Day” and were first place winners. Well done ladies, great to see our members competing in this type of event, for a small Club we have very competitive bowlers who do our Club proud.

Thursday 25th July: A slightly more low key day, a game of 3 bowls Triples and a game of Pairs. Pam Gilchrist, Jill McBride and Lynda Richards 15 v Ann Remment, Judy McGavock and Maureen Campbell 8. A close contest between Lyn Nightingale and Karen McPhie v Jean Glover and Bette Saillard. Equal score, 11 each on the 12th end but Jean and Bette forged ahead winning 16 v 12.

Club Championship Major Pairs starts on Tuesday 30th July, social bowls as usual during this competition. Weekend Pennant, home game TG v Merewether Saturday 3rd August kick off time 1000.
