Cheryl Milburn said, “We hosted 71 ladies from local to other VIEW Clubs to lunch by Heidi with a Christmas in July theme.”

Speaker of the day was Julie Sims who spoke on her experiences as a volunteer with Orangutan Foundation International.

Ms Sims has been to various areas to work helping to save them from death as their habitat is being logged for Palm Oil.

It is no luxury job but Julie is passionate about saving the Orangutans.

Ms Milburn told News Of The Area, “We also had a Tombola raffle with 28 prizes and after lunch we drew the raffle with the ladies taking home some beautifully prepared prizes by our ladies on Committee.”

“We raised much needed money for our Learning for Life Students we sponsor with The Smith Family,” she said.

Myall River VIEW Club is holding a lunch on 9 August and invite ladies of the area to join them.

Please phone Cheryl on 49972442 by Tuesday 5 August to book in.

“We would love you to join us as we have speakers, outings and fun whilst raising funds,” Ms Milburn said.
