LOVEY’S IGA Express at Hawks Nest was a winner at the national IGA Awards of Excellence. Held at the Gold Coast on 15 July, the IGA store owned by the Lovey family won the IGA Express Store of the Year. Ms Amie Johnson representing IGA, told News Of The Area, “This little store is a one-stop-shop that holds its own with larger stores.” “It has been well planned and executed with every item accounted for.” “It has a full delicatessen offering and is a market leader in its class with a large range of slice-on-demand meats, speciality cheeses and fresh options.” “The highest quality fresh produce is provided by the Co-op direct from the markets of Sydney and Newcastle.” The annual awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of independent retailers across Australia.
