THis week we saw Hunter River High’s Harry Dasilveira nominated for being an upstanding member of the school community, volunteering his time to welcome new students by showing them around.

Alex Hall was Nominated for representing Irrawang High School as a selected instrumentalist in the Star Struck orchestra.

Irrawang Public Schools Jesse Cottrell was spotted by a parent picking up rubbish in the street. Thank you for playing your part and keeping our environment clean Jesse!

Asta Barratt has been nominated for her outstanding commitment and leadership when representing Raymond Terrace Public School at Star Struck this year.

Asta was always ready to support students from other schools and displayed total respect for her choir masters from other schools.

Dylan Wood of Grahamstown Public School was nominated for his amazing sportsmanship skills.

Over the weekend an under 8’s soccer team required some extra players and Dylan was quick to put his hand up after only finishing playing for his own team.

Lilli Pride of Medowie Public School gained her nomination for displaying a kind and caring nature by looking after younger students during all of the Star Struck performances.

Salt Ash’s Jake Holster found an expensive fitbit on the playground.

He collected it and returned it to the teacher who ensured it was returned to its original owner.

Addison Towers was nominated by a teacher from Raymond Terrace Public School for being absolutely delightful to her and her students at Star Struck.

Her manners were impeccable and is an asset to Salt Ash Public School.

Karuah Public School’s River Barr consistently displays respect, responsibility and pride.

She was nominated to receive this award for always being a great role model.

River is often observed helping the younger children during sports carnivals, school events and in the community.

MarketPlace Raymond Terrace are supportive of this wonderful program not only providing a venue for the weekly awards but also encouraging our youth to do well.

Colleen Mulholland-Ruiz of MarketPlace Raymond Terrace told News Of The Area, “MarketPlace Raymond Terrace is proud that the PBL awards have become part of the community, and we love seeing our young people doing great things within our community and our own generation noting things and putting students forward for the award.”
