My Favourite Sings is being led by Director/Soloist Kathryn Dries and is accompanied by pianist Michael Power.

Port Harmony has been singing for Port Stephens audiences since 2010.

Joanna Davies of Port Harmony told News Of The Area, “At this concert, each member of the choir has chosen their favourite song.

“It’s a wonderful mix of well-known popular, jazz, classical and sacred music, and we know the audience will enjoy every moment,” she said.

Kathryn Dries who is directing and performing at the concert has been singing and playing the piano for thirty years.

Her serious vocal studies commenced at the age of sixteen under the expert guidance of mezzo-soprano Irene Waugh.

Kathryn has a Bachelor of Music from Newcastle University Conservatorium of Music as well as a range of qualifications and awards in both singing and piano.

She has had a career in performance for twenty years. Kathryn has performed various major roles and has featured as a soloist in an abundance of oratorios and recitals.

Kathryn teaches singing and piano in various locations throughout the Central Coast and Sydney.

Kathryn has been the Musical Director of Port Harmony for 9 years.

Her passion and commitment to Port Harmony, both in tuition and performance, has seen the choir grow enormously in professionalism and repertoire.

Michael Power once again adds his charisma and talent as our pianist.

Tickets can be booked at Black Pepper in Salamander Bay Shopping Centre.
