The ladies looked resplendent in pink and raised $500 towards the cause.

The day had an all pink theme that included morning tea and a friendly game of bowls.

Bernie Carroll told News Of The Area, “We were delighted to have visitors from the Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group including Wendy Nutt who provided a wonderful presentation of her journey through patch work displays.”

A breast cancer diagnosis changes your whole life.

It impacts families as well as individuals.

Many women diagnosed with breast cancer are unable to work and find it extremely difficult to manage their households as well.

The Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group helps women undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer through support and provision of services as well as help in getting to and from appointments.

“Wendy’s presentation certainly reiterated the importance of breast cancer awareness.” With the help of the more experienced bowlers the first time bowls ladies, tried their hand at the game.

Everyone appeared to enjoy themselves immensely.

“We would like to thank all those who participated on the day and helped to raise such a creditable donation,” Bernie said.
