The system could be quickly implemented to enable routine renourishment as well as emergency transfer in the event of storm erosion. Since that time sand has continued to be transferred by relatively inefficient and expensive truck/excavator programs. From memory, the current program is the third involving trucks hauling along the beach. As I understand it, the long-awaited sand transfer system is finally almost operable. It is unfortunate that the most recent renourishment works could not be delayed for a couple of months to take advantage of the far more efficient transfer system. Col Nicholson. Hawks Nest
