
ROBERT Stanley (17) celebrated a stellar week in his swimming career recently.

From 14 to 19 December 2018 he attended the NSW State Age Swimming Championships at the Sydney Olympic Pool.
Robert, as part of the Stroud Seals Swim Club, competed in the 17 years 100m breast and 200m breaststroke.
Robert obtained a Personal Best (PB) of 0.5 seconds in his 100m breaststroke and finished 11th.
In the 200m breaststroke, Robert made the final and finished 8th in NSW for the 17 years age group.
Also competing at State Age was Medowie swimmer Grace Gray (15).
Grace competed in three events at State Age and Coach Michael Abel was pleased with her times.
Raff Francisci (15) competed in 4 events and swam PBs in three of them.
Notably, Raff swam a PB in his 50m freestyle to obtain a national qualifying time.
Robert Stanley, this week, was also the recipient of a $500 AIS Local Sporting Champion Grant.
The Grant is awarded to athletes attending a State Championships who are living more than 125km from the Championships venue, and travelling greater than 250km return to participate in the nominated Championships.
Robert attends State Championships twice a year in Sydney and travels to many Regional carnivals.
He is grateful for the support provided by the Grant and will use the money to pay for attending the NSW State Open and the purchase of new racing swimwear.
