Deputy Mayor Sarah Smith says the funds will improve accessibility to Raymond Terrace’s regional park. “Shared pathways are a great way to make our parks more accessible and encourage our residents to get outside and enjoy their beautiful surroundings.” Ms Smith said, “This is a critical piece of the puzzle for Boomerang Park. Over the past few years, Port Stephens Council made significant investments to create a public space that caters for everyone. “This grant will help more people to enjoy all of the wonderful new facilities that Boomerang Park has to offer, which is a great result for our community,” she said. The grant will fund a new 2.5 metre wide shared pathway network throughout Boomerang Park, as well as solar lighting, entry signage, landscaping and bike racks.
