The Newcastle 106.9 Hit Squad will host a pop-up party, set up their Hit Chill Out Zone and engage families with games and competitions.

Stars will shine on stage with NBN News presenter Kate Haberfield hosting Christmas Carols and vocal performances headlined by ‘The Voice 2018’ Finalist Anyerin Drury.

Entry to Medowie Christmas Carnival is free courtesy of Major Sponsor R&R Property.

Ms Denise Haynes from R&R Property told News Of The Area, “I am thrilled that R & R Property are the major sponsor of this fabulous community event.”

“At R&R we are all about giving back to the community that supports us, so to be able to provide free entry to everyone is so exciting to us.”

“The team are looking forward to seeing and chatting with everyone at the carnival,” she said.

Event spokesperson Lisa Taylor said the Rotary Williamtown event was aiming to deliver a prominent regional flagship event annually, providing entertainment, socialisation, growth and development opportunities for the community.

“Medowie Christmas Carnival’s foundation has been built on the strength of community engagement and the dedication of volunteers who have pooled their experience and professional skills to deliver an event worthy of our audience.”

“A not-for-profit event on this scale helps build trust and community outreach; connects people and resources, develops new leaders and creates opportunities for cooperative learning experiences.”

Medowie Christmas Carnival is community funded with businesses, community groups and individuals investing in the families who live, work and play in our community via sponsorship, fundraising, stallholder fees, and community donations.

“We encourage families and their friends to bring a picnic blanket, relax and enjoy live entertainment and immerse themselves in the festive community spirit as we celebrate the countdown to Christmas!”

Medowie Christmas Carnival will take place on Friday 7 December 2018, from 4pm-9pm at Ferodale Sports Complex, Ferodale Road Medowie.
