GREAT Lakes Council’s Satisfaction Survey focussing on community assets, closes Thursday 2nd October 2014.

It has engaged Micromex Research to conduct a random telephone survey of Great Lakes residents.

The two stage survey requires participants to read an information package prior to them undertaking the survey.

Council welcomes additional feedback from residents that have not been invited to participate in the telephone survey.

The information package and on-line version of the telephone survey is now available on Council’s website.

The information package focusses on the current condition of community assets and the funding required to improve the conditions of those assets.

Council’s Director Engineering Services, Ron Hartley said “We have undertaken a significant amount of work on important community assets, both on the ground and behind the scenes.

“Our road network has been improved with the assistance of the special rate variation we received several years ago. We have also put significant effort into getting better information to help us efficiently manage assets with our current level of funding.

“The survey is focussed on assets such as roads in urban and rural areas, bridges and community buildings.”

Mr Hartley said, “The results of the survey will be used to determine whether the community is satisfied with the current state of assets or whether they support increasing investment to improve the assets which are in poorer condition.”

Council’s General Manager, Glenn Handford added, “It is important that all residents have the opportunity to comment on their satisfaction with these assets.

“If you were not randomly selected for the phone survey, I encourage you to access the online information and complete the survey on Council’s website,” said Mr Handford.

The survey will be open until close of business Thursday, 2 October.

It has engaged Micromex Research to conduct a random telephone survey of Great Lakes residents.

An information pack will be sent to the randomly selected residents who agree to take part.

The information is easy to understand and follow and includes information on the current condition of community assets.

Council’s General Manager, Glenn Handford added, “It is important that all residents have the opportunity to comment on their satisfaction with these assets.

Recruitment has commenced for the random phone survey and residents are encouraged to participate if contacted by Micromex.
