THERE’s an old saying, ‘Less is More’ and it’s that philosophy which is behind a workshop at the Tea Gardens Library this Friday called ‘De-Clutter Your Life’.

The event has been organised by MidCoast Council and it’s not just about getting rid of the old to make way for the new.

“It’s about learning how to declutter your home and your life so that you have space for the things that matter,” Librarian Chris Shelly said.

“You’ll pick up tips and skills at the workshop to help you learn how to prevent the clutter from returning.”

And it’s not just about the materialistic clutter.

The event is aimed at clearing a space in the mind as well.

Another positive could well be the financial aspect.

“Before I moved I had a garage sale, so I made a little money from the things I know longer needed,” Librarian Carol Johnson said.

“You’ll leave the workshop with a better understanding of what your clutter is and how to dispose of it responsibly.”Chris said.

“De-Clutter Your Life’ is a free event at the Tea Gardens Library on Friday 22 June between 2pm to 4pm.

Bookings are essential through the MidCoast Website or give the Library a call on 4997 1265.

With School Holidays just a couple of weeks away, watch this space for some great free programs being run by the Library to keep the youngsters entertained and educated through the Winter break.
