Jess Smith said she enjoyed sitting back and relaxing while being pampered by her four-year-old daughter Florence. “It was a lovely afternoon and I enjoyed the bonding time with my daughter,” she said. The mums were also presented with Mother’s Day cards and gifts made by the children. Preschool Director Gai Tooze said the afternoon was an opportunity to connect with families. “It is all about getting our parents involved in our Preschool,” Gai said. “This is the second time we have held the pampering day, and it was lovely to see so many mums and grandmothers enjoying the afternoon with the children.” The Preschool also held a Mother’s Day stall last weekend, with bunches of fresh flowers and home-baked sweet treats amongst the popular items for sale. Gai said more than $900 was raised which will assist with upgrading the outdoor play equipment. The Preschool extends their thanks to all the parents and community members who assisted and supported the stall. A special thank you also goes to Matt and Ange Haines for supplying the beautiful flowers. By John SAHYOUN Jess Smith has her nails painted by her daughter. Sonia Smith with her Mother’s Day gifts.
