Grade 4 played at Karuah and despite the Mark Hair team winning one match, the remaining teams hit too many walls in the concluding stages to win the Master Board. Karuah won 64-45. The Grade 6 side, playing at home were also disappointing with the match even with each team having just five ends to play. Tea Gardens lost their momentum and Karuah ran out easy winners at the end. The final score Karuah 68, Tea Gardens 47. Next Saturday Grade 4 plays Mayfield West at home whilst Grade 6 plays away at Lemon Tree Passage. Go the Dolphins! 6 May The beautiful Autumn weather continued with 26 players attending Sunday Bowls in games of Triples and Fours played over 12 ends. Winners on the day were; Karen McPhie, Dot Montgomery and Rob Young. The runners-up on a count back were the team of: Frank Dunn, Dorothy Thompson, Dianne Kiss, Paul Bell. There will be no bowls next Sunday, Mother’s Day. The first round of the “blue ribbon” Club Championship Major Singles was played today with the following results: Sean Mearrick 31, Mark Hair 7.
