Newcastle/Port Stephens contestants Krystal Rose Cook and Emma Campbell, alongside Sydneysiders Ava Da Silva and Analieze Bella Newton, hosted a charity barefoot bowls day at the Raymond Terrace Bowling Club.

With special guest and Commonwealth Games participant Natasha Scott in attendance, the crowd were taught by a professional how to play the game that has made her an Australian household name.

The girls raised funds on the day, and enjoyed a sausage sizzle, raffle and bake stall.

They were also honored to have MIss Galaxy Finalist Shae Haddow attend to lend a hand, and participate in the days festivities.

The charities the girls raised awareness for on the day were; The butterfly Foundation, represented by Classic Diamond Emma Campbell, Diabetes NSW & ACT represented by Analieze Bella Newton,

Limbs 4 Life represented by Mini Diamond Ava Da Silva and Port Stephens Family and Neighbourhood Services represented by Mini finalist Krystal Rose Cook.

Katherine Moffett, mother to Ava Da Silva, told News Of The Area, “What I loved about this event was that we had two mini’s and two classics come together to put the competition aside and work towards a common goal which is raising awareness for four important charities.”

“Krystal Rose is a young girl with a heart of gold, and we were honoured to have been invited up from Sydney to attend.”

“Ava considers her to be her best friend, aka sash sister,” she said.

Ava Da Silva told News Of The Area, “I love about spending time with Krystal Rose, and even though we are in the competition together and have to verse each other, she is my sash sister, my best friend and I can’t wait to go to Brisbane with her to show everyone what NSW has got.”
