Sean is a craft beer brewer with a passion which he fuels at Murrays Brewery at Bobs Farm.

As Co-Head Brewer Sean is responsible for the drinking pleasure of a range of craft beers, cider and he is now working with his team to introduce locally made vodka and gin.

Sean Costigan told News Of The Area, “I have been brewing beer since I was 18 and I have the perfect job here where I get to create new and different recipes.”

He believes that the spirit range will be something which will evolve.

“It’s exciting to mix different flavours, while distilling spirits is something new to us in the brew house, we have a wealth of experience in balancing flavours.”

Sean is passionate about the sourcing of local produce and even the water used in the brews that he makes.

The water used at Murrays is through a bore which is filtered and treated, and it is pure.

“We source local produce for the beers and even the waste bi-product from the grain is not wasted, it goes off to Oakvale Farm,” he said.

Sean is proud of the beers that he and the team at Murrays produce and at the moment he has been working on a range of 10 fruit and donut flavoured beers for the Gone Troppo Festival at Murrays Brewery.

You can check out the brews and may even be able to take a tour of the brewery with Sean or one of the other brewers on the weekends at Murrays while you enjoy free entertainment over the summer.
