Or media@newsofthearea.com.au Or CLICK FOR ADVERT QUOTE At the recent Focus Awards, Louise entered five photographs and was awarded a Silver and four Bronze awards. “My image that won the Silver Award features the beautiful old trees up on the hill on the road into Tea Gardens, a beautiful dramatic country scene I took earlier this year,” Louise told News Of The Area. “I was heading into town to capture the sunset on the beach, when I saw the rainbow above the iconic trees.” “I quickly pulled over to capture the magic scene, the light was so beautiful, the rainbow remaining right throughout the entire sunset.” This years’ Focus Awards attracted over 1800 entries from photographers all over Australia and New Zealand. “The Awards are designed to encourage photographers at all stages of development to improve their skills and confidence and every entry receives feedback by the 3 world class judges,” Louise said. “I moved into the landscape, seascape and the nature genre after spending 25 years as a portrait photographer.” “I just love the new direction my photography has taken and feel I have finally found my niche.” “I feel blessed to live in this amazing and beautiful place and really appreciate the support I receive from the local community,” “I can’t wait to be part of the 2018 Focus Awards and chase that elusive Gold Award.” If you want to see more of Louise’s stunning work, she has an upcoming exhibition with another local artist Jennifer Street.
