Port Stephens Councillor Sarah Smith told News Of The Area, “I live here, and a big part of why I joined Council was to see local projects for local people being carried out.” The Anna Bay and Birubi Hall Community Landcare Group members have planted the area with what they believe are the last of the plants from the Ngioka Centre at Little Beach. Peter Davis is the Chair of the group and he shared his vision for the future. “I’d like to see all entries to Anna Bay being planted and cared for as a joint project between Council and local volunteers,” he said.
