Sacred Tree Markets feature some 80 up and coming designers, artists, local creative industries and local producers.

The markets host live musicians, street food, cultural displays and entertainment.

Kim Hicks of Hunter Devine told News Of The Area, “I started my business doing markets and events in Nelson Bay in 2012 and my products are now stocked in New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and I am now exporting into New Zealand as well.”

Kim grew up in Nelson Bay, and attended both Nelson Bay Primary and High Schools she believes that markets at the Bay have been important for growing her business.

Local artist Jane Lockhart sells her beach art at Sacred Tree Markets and at other local markets and events.

Jane told News Of The Area, “My artworks allow people to personalise their homes with unique works of art.”

She believes that the international tourists who pass through the Sacred Tree Markets like to take home a slice of Port Stephens Creativity to their homes to remember their visit to Port Stephens.

Alongside Hunter Devine Candles and Jane’s beach style artworks, visitors to Sacred Tree Markets enjoy live entertainment, and other local delights including pickles, jams and chutneys from Made at One Mile.

Sacred Tree Markets will be back at the Bay from 24 November, bringing visitors to the Bay and arriving just in time for us to start buying stocking stuffers that are uniquely created in and around Port Stephens.
