Congratulations to Kayelene Pearson and Robyn Beaumont for being selected to play in the Newcastle District Representative Team competing against the Central Coast District in the annual Rose Bowl Competition. This is an annual event held each year to raise money for the Oncology Ward, Mater Hospital Newcastle. All present enjoyed playing bowls, format” turn around Triples” and a delicious lunch prepared by our wonderful Social Committee. Money was raised from lunch, raffles, a Tombola, a Trading Table and an auction. A big thank you to all our local businesses/community members that donated so generously to this event, your contributions make this day possible. Also, to all those who helped, too many to individually mention but your hard work is much appreciated. At the end of the day our Club President Robyn Webster, proudly presented a cheque for $6,500 to Elaine Wellard President of Calvary Mater Auxiliary Newcastle and their treasurer Kay Fordham.
