In excess of $250,000 has been returned to the local community through this event. This year’s event is shaping up to be another successful day. Kathy Rimmer, Nelson Bay Rotary Club President, told News Of The Area, “This year’s re-formatted event is about having fun, while returning the profits to the community through Health Support Services, Community Infrastructure projects, Fitness and Exercise Trail, Gan Gan Lookout improvements, Water Sport and Support Services.” Port Stephens Toyota, (a gold sponsor for many years,) has provided a new Toyota Yaris as a Hole in One prize on the day. Port Stephens Toyota managers, Michelle Smith and Josh Walker, recognise the great work Rotary and other service organisations achieve in the local community. Trevor Harrison, Nelson Bay Golf Club general manager, welcomed the continued support of this event. The presentation, a silent auction and raffle ticket draw will be held in the recently reopened club house after a fun day on the course. Some excellent auction items and prizes have already been secured. There is still an opportunity for sponsors to step forward and support Nelson Bay Rotary and potential players are encouraged to register at: www.nelsonbayrotary.org. By Mandy ELLIS
