AN empowering new report which delivers a snapshot of the statistics which make up Port Stephens’ economic position as at 2017 has just been released.

The report offers insights into the local economy which will highlight potential investment opportunities, economic impacts and allow council to make better use of allocated resources.

The report delves into the demographics of the region and looks at employment, industry housing and tourism activities.

Jane Perrin of Port Stephens Council told News Of The Area, “Council are very proud to release the first ever edition of the Port Stephens Economic Profile showcasing the depth and diversity of industry across the LGA.”

“This is a valuable resource to encourage investment and business to the area.”

“We hope that by sharing this catalogue of available data, we can enable informed decisions that will lead to more investment and economic opportunities for our region,” Ms Perrin said.

The report would be of use to business, students, community groups and educators.

While Council has the Remplan report, they are constantly updating datasets which can be accessed by the community.

Potential developers and investors who are informed about the profile of the region are more likely to deliver positive business offerings to the residents and visitors to our region.
