Prior to play, Kayelene Pearson was the winner of the “spider”. Results for Round 3 of the competition were as follows: Dale Winter 150 v Sandra Leisemann 140, Kayelene Pearson 150 v Francis Betar 110, Vicki Rankin 150 v Robyn Webster 110 and Maynie Roberts 150 v Pat Baker 110. Social bowls winners with a win plus ends were Lynda Richards, Karen Green and Lily Smith. Thursday 17 November: Semi final day for the Open Consistency Competition plus social bowls. Great bowling by all players and a good crowd of spectators present to cheer the competitors on as well as witness some tight bowling. Vicki Rankin competed against Kayelene Pearson, this was a hard fought match. Kayelene lost the lead on the 9th end and unfortunately was unable to win it back despite some great shots. The final score here was Vicki 153 and Kayelene 127. Dale Winter and Maynie Roberts were the other semi finalists. Both players held the lead at different stages but Maynie gained control of the game on the 16th and went on to win 157 to 103. Congratulations to the winners and we are all looking forward to seeing Maynie and Vicki competing against each other in the final of the competition on Tuesday 22 November.
