It’s just over 8 weeks to Christmas and the call has gone out for Santa’s helpers to help those in need.
Members of the Myall Community Art and Craft Centre have begun their annual Christmas appeal on behalf of the Salvation Army.
“We need gifts for all ages, from babies to adults,” Dorothy Ayling told The News Of The Area.
“It could be a toy, a t shirt or even men’s aftershave or talc.”
“But please don’t wrap the gifts, “ said Dorothy,
“The Salvation Army comes and collects the presents and then they give a voucher to all the families in need to come and choose what they like.”
Every year, the Salvation Army deliveries close to half a million toys to families who are struggling to make ends meet.
If you would like to donate a new or as new gift, then drop into the Myall Community Arts and Craft Centre behind the Council and Information Centre in Myall Street, Tea Gardens before Friday 11 November.
The Arts and Craft Shop is open 7 days a week between 10 am and 4 pm.
