BETWEEN Wednesday 14 September 4.30pm and Friday 6.00pm 16 September 2016, unknown persons have entered a rural property at Bunyah.

The unknown offenders have forced entry into a timber shed by breaking the lock and then forced a gun safe free from its fixed position and removed the safe with a rifle inside from the property.

These offenders also removed a 2014 model Kubota ride on Lawn Mower and a chain saw from the surrounding garage area.

After the initial report the victim also noticed that a trolley spray kit, another chainsaw and a generator were also taken.

In other Police news, as a result of ongoing inquiries by Bulahdaleh police into a houseboat being broken into on or about the 13 August, 2016 a number of persons were been interviewed.

This has led to one young person being charged with entering a dwelling with intent, larceny and damaging property.

An adult male and a further young person were also charged with larceny and all will appear at Forster local court in the near future to answer these charges.

A further young person will be receiving an official caution under the Young Offenders Act legislation.
