PRESENTATION Day, Tuesday 5 December.

Safety Beach women golfers wound up their competition year on Tuesday 5 December with a combined Presentation Day and Christmas Party followed by happy entertainment. It’s been a very successful year for our club and well supported by the ladies including visits to many clubs and competitions.

There were many happy winners on the day and competitions included Veteran Women’s Golfers Association, Gross winners Div 1 Karen Bellamy, Div 2 Lyn Reilly, Div 3 Linda MacDonald. Golf NSW Medal winners, Div 1 Gold Medal Merryl Kyburz, Div 2 Silver Rose Morrow, Div 3 Bronze Michelle Merrikin.

Most Gobblers went to Marian Brading, Birdie winner Narelle Anderson, Eclectic winner Gaile Mackenzie.

27 Holes Foursomes Championship Gross Winners Leanne Clark & Rose Morrow, runners-up Carole Stone and Marian Brading. Nett Winners Lyn Reilly & Aileen MacFarlane, runners-up Di MacRae and Yolly Gallacher.

Club Championship Div. 1 gross winner Narelle Anderson, runner-up Merryl Kyburz. Nett winner Marian Brading, runner-up Lorraine Broomfield.

Div. 2 gross winner Yolly Gallacher, runner-up Lyn Reilly. Nett winner Julie Castle, runner-up Kim Batty.

Div. 3 gross winner Teresa King, runner-up Di MacRae. Nett winner Trish Hill, runner-up Anne Tobin.

Nett winner overall for 2023 Teresa King. Gross winner overall and Club Champion, Narelle Anderson.

A 9 hole Ambrose was played by 27 ladies, prior to the ensuing celebrations, and winner was Jo Elwood, 21 pts on c/b from Marlene Power. Thank you Julie Castle for donating the raffle won by Anne Tobin.

Safety Beach Women’s Golf Club is not big in numbers but big in heart and determination to play golf and enjoy each others company. A big thank you to Wyong Leagues group for all the improvements that have been made to the course allowing all golfers to enjoy this wonderful game.
