IN the debate about the Voice, Mr Albanese has chosen to ignore the words of the star luminary of the Labor movement and former Prime Minister Bob Hawke who uttered these words, and I quote: “In Australia, there is no hierarchy of descent… there must be no privilege of origin. The commitment is(to) all.

“The commitment to Australia is the one thing needful to be a true Australian.“
