The current weather pattern is just perfect for golf and 26 ladies arrived at Safety Beach golf course to play a stableford/shootout on May 2. Our playing numbers are a little depleted due to so many “on the road again” but most take their golf clubs and keep up the practice. Winner of the day was Michelle Merrikin with a wonderful 41 pts.

Still remaining this month is Stroke & Putts Match Play Qualifier, an 18 hole Shootout Qualifier, Grafton May Tournament and a 4BBB Stableford. Everyone has their mind on the Club Championships later in the year, so are squeezing a few more practice rounds. The 9 hole Medley comp on Thursdays and the 9 hole Wine or Dine Medley playable over the week is a good way to achieve this. Merryl would like some extra ladies who can play pennants on a given Monday, to nominate with her as she needs replacements when ladies are away and unable to play. It’s heaps of fun. Come and join us at our very happy and friendly club.
