Email us – media@newsofthearea.com.au The facility provides students with a greater choice of courses which means young people can live and learn in the Port Stephens Region, reducing the need to travel elsewhere to gain job-ready skills. TAFE NSW offers a range of support services and courses at varying levels to upskill locals. Available on-campus and online, TAFE NSW offers courses focusing on language, literacy and numeracy and additional support services for students with a disability or English as a second language. TAFE NSW students can access support services to assist with study, and can also offer career counselling, and help finding jobs or accommodation. “In Semester 1, 2023 Port Stephens residents will have the opportunity to study a range of courses in business and marketing, healthcare, education and training, accounting and finance, the arts and music,” Ms Sarah Dibdin, TAFE NSW told News Of The Area. Courses include Certificate III in Financial Services, Certificate II in Floristry, Certificate III in Floristry, Certificate IV in Arts and Cultural Administration, Certificate III in Music (Business), Statement of Attainment in Introduction to Business Technology, Certificate III in Business (Administration), Certificate III in Business (Medical Administration), Certificate III in Entrepreneurship and New Business, Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Certificate III in School Based Education Support, Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community), Certificate III in Community Pharmacy, Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy Dispensary.
